Wolf Mountain is located in California in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills between Auburn and Grass Valley, about six miles off Highway 49. Wolf Mountain provides a peaceful, natural, ranch-like setting where kids and adults can receive the caring, compassion, adventure and encouragement that God can provide through the powerful tool of resident camping. The camp mostly serves Northern California residents, but groups occasionally travel from as far away as Southern California and Nevada.
Activities include riding horses, ropes courses, rock climbing, paintball, swimming, hiking, back-packing, archery, marksmanship, and sports activities. Through team building challenges and individual events, staff members lead participants through reflection and application times. Recreation is both a drawing card and a by-product, but personal and spiritual growth is the key focus.
Camp accommodations include lodge rooms and cabins. The camp has two food preparation and dining facilities. There are also multiple meeting rooms, some with sound and projection equipment. The camp lodging is generally rustic and is characterized by ranch-style bunk beds and centralized bathrooms and showers. Our goal is to update these cabins over time to include a bathroom and shower in each cabin. All lodge rooms have these accommodations at this time.
